Interpretation As Books Dead Is Just A Rumor (Dead Is #4)

As the creepy little town of Nightshade prepares to celebrate its 200th anniversary—on Halloween, of course—many of its paranormal residents are receiving mysterious blackmail letters. Psychic teen Daisy Giordano and her sisters set out to find out who is behind the threats. But launching an investigation isn’t easy for Daisy with her overprotective father watching her every move. Though she’s is happy to have him back after the years he spent being held captive by an anti-paranormal group called the Scourge, Dad is having difficult time adjusting to home life—and the fact that his little girl is now a senior in high school. He even disapproves of Daisy’s boyfriend, Ryan. Can their relationship take the strain?

And Daisy’s got even more on her plate: A talented amateur chef, she has won cooking lessons with celebrity chef Circe Silvertongue. After nosing around (with a little help from Circe’s pet pig), Daisy begins to suspect the temperamental chef’s secrets aren’t only in her ingredients. . . .

The fourth installment in this favorite series is full of surprises and scares!

*Rating* 3.0 starts*Genre* YA Paranormal*Review* Everywhere Daisy goes, trouble isn't that far behind her. Dead is Just a Rumor is the fourth book in the Dead Is Series by Marline Perez. As usual, our protagonist and psychic Daisy Giordano is once again having to come to terms with yet another change and challenge in her life; the return of her father Rafe Giordano after 6 years of being held hostage by the dreaded and evil Scourge because he was researching the paranormal community. The

What I liked:- Parent involvement and character growth- Resolved plot points- One last mystery- easy to devour in a seatingWhat I didn't:- A lot going on at once- Idk I kind of want more info on the Scourge

Didn't enjoy this as much since Daisy had to remain seriously obtuse so as not to spoil things for the reader. But possible in a later book Lily and Bam will be returned to their forms for hap ever after. Also finally Dad gets therapy? Really?

I love the concept of Lil and Bam, especially since it opens the series up for a fifth book, but I'm not sure Daisy and Ryan's relationship needs to be quite so physical.

This book was fun to read. The place and characters just seem so happy, which makes it a lot more enjoyable to read than some other sad books.

The Gist Its Daisys senior year. She has an amazing boyfriend, an awesome best friend, loving sisters, and her dad is finally back! She assumes everything will be perfect from here on in. She couldnt have been more wrong. Problem one: her dad. Though its great to have him back after all these years, hes having problems adjusting. He treats Daisy like a twelve year old - like no time has passed since hes been away. He rarely leaves the house, and gets worried easily, and worst of all, he always

I still really enjoy this story and watching the characters develop. I feel as though it's so much easier to predict the outcome of the story now that I've been in the world and understand the author's writing more. That doesn't keep me from enjoying the book though...just proves my claim to be a great investigator! (Lol.)The love story between Daisy and Ryan is sweet. I'm glad to know her dad has been found and brought back home. At first, I was super annoyed by him being so over-protective but
