Narration In Favor Of Books Fearscape (The Devouring #3)
The Vours: Evil demonic beings that inhabit human bodies on Sorry Night, the darkest hour of the winter solstice. It's been a year since Reggie first discovered the Vours, and the winter solstice is approaching once again. It will be another night of unspeakable horror for those unlucky enough to be taken by the Vours, because this time, she won't be able to stop them. The Vours have imprisoned Reggie in a psychiatric hospital, where she is subjected to a daily routine of unfathomably sadistic experiments. Her life is a living hell, but she won't give up. They attacked her brother. They killed her friend. And Reggie will never stop fighting back.
Fearscape, Book 3 in the Devouring series, ends this chilling trilogy with a thought-provoking and deeply frightening story that will leave you with lasting terror.

I'm not sure if I was just too distracted to enjoy this book or if it actually fell short. Don't get me wrong, it was still awesome and an excellent read, but I wasn't quite enthralled as I was with the first two (which I read in a matter of hours... this one, over the course of two weeks). There was less time in the actual fearscapes (contrary to the name of the novel) and I think that was a big part of it. There is more talking and planning than actual action (unlike the first two in theI'm giving this book five stars, because it was really good, BUT (I think I put enough emphasis there) it was the most idiotic thing to pair Reggie with Quinn. I mean, what the hell?! I have waited three books, THREE! for Aaron and Reggie to get together, and you know what I got? SQUAT! Ugh!Reasons why Quinn and Reggie should NOT have been paired together!:-Quinn was a freaking VOUR and tried to KILL Reggie!-Reggie didn't even like the real him. She liked the Vour him, and because he was cute.
my least favorite volume. much less scary and less suspenseful over all.
This is the final book in the series. I have to say overall, I did like these books. This one, though, felt a little rushed. And while I do like the characters, I feel as if I don't really know them all that well. While their fears are placed front and center, you never really get into their heads or feel what they are feeling.I have to give the author credit for creating a very original monster -Vours. They aren't physical and their world isn't even in our dimension. How are you going to defeat
This review can also be found on my blog!I wish I could say that I loved this book, but I didnt. I heavily hinted at my disappointment in my review of the second book, Soulstice, but it really comes to light here in this book. The odd plot that happened in the second book of this trilogy got odder. This story that was interesting and a world that intrigued me got boring as the lines of treachery and deceit kept going. It was just weird. It was too much of a cosmic battle. What made Reggie and the
The Devouring #3: Fearscape is a thrilling page turner that I didn't put down until I finished it front to back. The Devouring #2 left us with Reggie being taken to a mental ward. A cliffhanger extraordinaire that had me anxiously awaiting Fearscapes release. A quick side note on the Vours. The Vours are evil demons that have existed since time began; they can only take possession of a human body on `Sorry Night', the night of the winter solstice. A person who is possessed by a Vour retains all
Like all horror sequels, this one is a bit more watered down than the others simply because the horror factor that existed in the original, the thing that made the books scary, is something we're already used to. We've been desensitized to it over the course of three books. That's not a matter of storytelling. It just happens. It's very hard to maintain true horror through multiple sequels because of that. And that's across the genre, not just in FEARSCAPE.The tension was still there, though.
