This was awful. It took me so long to slog through it because it was so mind-numbingly boring and made no sense it was hard to muster any interest in it. It seemed that Clint was made into this Dom type and BDSM was just thrown in because it was trendy. There is nothing BDSM-like in this book remotely realistic.Also, I know very little about the military, but even I know that you don't join the ARMY to become a NAVY SEAL. WTF? Enjoyed this romantic suspense. it certainly was hot! However, I am NOT a fan of the H or h constantly pushing away, it's just gets so bloody old and Cliint did this the. Whole. Way. Through. He did my freaking head in. Morganna redeemed the book for me, without her this would have been a serious fail. On to the next one, please let that not be a push-away fest like this one was3.5 stars
Low 3 starsI'm really struggling with this series (I also read the first book in the Elite Ops series and was somewhat ambivalent about it as well). I know many love Lora Leigh but I'm not sure she works for me. Perhaps I should give one of her other series a try before I close the book on this author for good.
I like Lora Leigh's books. She writes smut, and she writes it well. She can write raunchy and depraved, and she can write sweet and heart-melting. She's known for her trademark soul-binding anal sex. What did bother me, was that I could not handle the fact that Clint kept rejecting her, for 8 freaking years. is he insane?
