Chronicle As Books Bilangan Fu (Bilangan Fu #1)

Pengarang menamai nafas novelnya "spiritualisme kritis".

Column Out Of Books Bilangan Fu (Bilangan Fu #1)
It was the first Ayu Utami's book that I read. It has lots of opinion about lots of things. It contents critics about nature, authority, dumb fanatism, and so many other things. It fills you up with so many things. Not all great and spectacular, but it really worth to read. Especially knowing that this book is the main book of other Bilangan Fu's series like "Manjali dan Cakrabirawa", "Lalita", and 10 other books that is currently being produced.

I have to admit I probably would never have picked this book if it hadn't been in the Oxfam Novib book club series a couple of years aho. It didn't appeal very much to me from the cover text. Two rock climbers, one of whom sees supernatural things? I have very little interest in either subject. I think mountaineers have a death wish and rockclimbers are even worst. I am very unspiritual and don't usually have a lot of patience for it. Still, this book was a pleasant surprise. At the core is the

so far so good ......

Pola pikir yang kompleks, challenging, but not too easy to understand...

bilangan fu inspired me to look back classic indonesian talessomething i never think about. she "told" us how to respect nature, origin culture, and i do love her thoughts! meanwhile, the spiritual problem (intolerance, fanatical religious groups), it's not a new things for me.well, her unpredictable opinion about something has been amazed me. friends said her previous book is better, i agree. there's no melancholy love story or uniquely politically character, as you find in saman. believe that

So far, I don't like the vulgarity that brought by Ayu Utami in most of her novels. But anyway, I start to enjoy the story after I read about 70 pages. The story itself not Bilangan Fu - centered. Eventhough Bilangan Fu become the reason of the relation among the cast, but the emphaize of the novel is about the relationship it self and the modernity vs nature vs culture.
