Weigh Up About Books All Hallows' Eve
I went in this book thinking, 'horror, Halloween, spooky settings, horror." Instead I opened this book and got a big load of disappointment.Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. I eagerly await Halloween and get excited for it. I like seeing the costumes, the decorations, and the Addams Family movies. I dive into this book expecting something Halloween-y like. Something, but I instead get boring stories that take place on Halloween. It's like opening your parents telling you that you're

All Hallows Eve is a collection of thirteen spooky stories. As with any collection of short stories, some were definitely better than others. I personally didn't find them to be all that scary but each story ended with a twist. I thought the best ones were "Only on All Hallows Eve" and "Best Friends". Both had endings I didn't see coming.

I love short horror stories, and All Hallows' Eve was the perfect book for me to have as a Halloween read. While there were a few flawed stories, there were many that had great plots and some great plot twists, especially in the last few stories. Here are some brief synopses of all 13 stories in the book and my opinion on each:Come In And Rest A Spell: A witch agrees to help a woman earn a man's love. The story is written through the witch's POV and dialogue, which is a pretty neat writing

3.5 out of 5

This was a quick read that was perfect for Halloween. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a spooky read that isn't very scary. Most of the stories in this book are creepy more than anything else. As with most books that include a collection of short stories, some are better than others. The first story, Come in and Rest a Spell, isn't that great, but they get better after that.

The better stories were the shorter ones. The longer ones seemed to just ramble. Each story did have a twist at the end, some you suspected while others were a fun surprise. Best liked: Only on All Hallows Eve; Best friends; When and how; When my parents come to visit.

I didnt really find many of these stories to be scary, per say. Only a few stories stuck out to me:MARIANBest FriendsI Want To Thank YouHolding On
